Reingolds Include a Legacy Gift in Their Estate Plan to Ensure Their Future Support

Peggy Reingold

Peggy Reingold learned about Family Services nearly two decades ago when she was serving on the board for United Way. “I became more acutely aware when I served as community affairs manager for Wells Fargo and learned more about their programming,” she says. “I was sold on their value to the community and have been a strong supporter ever since.”

To continue their support for generations to come, Peggy and her husband, the Honorable William B. Reingold, have included a legacy gift to Family Services in their estate plan. “We truly believe that the community needs Family Services,” they say, “and we want to do our part to ensure the organization continues to be viable long after we are gone.”

Bill served as a district court judge for 27+ years, including 16 years as chief judge, and used Family Services as a resource during his tenure. Peggy recalls a colleague at Wells Fargo who, after learning that Peggy and Bill were involved with Family Services, shared that she benefited from their counseling services many years prior. “She was effusive about how they helped her,” Peggy says. “It was more than 40 years later, and she still remembered the difference they made. This demonstrates value and stability.”

The Reingolds hope their story will inspire generosity in others. “The process for naming Family Services in a will or trust is quite simple,” they conclude. “Leaving a sum that will enable a gift equal to or greater than your current gift is a way to continue to honor their work and the families they will serve in the future.”
